Description :
In this talk we will discuss how micro-randomized trials can be used to provide data to construct and optimize digital health interventions. We will discuss one particular approach to micro-randomization, that uses an artificial intelligence method, "reinforcement learning" to personalize as the user experiences the intervention. We will discuss these approaches in the context of HeartSteps a digital health application for individuals with Stage 1 Hypertension.
