After completing a PhD in medical statistics and an MD degree in Public Health in Lyon (Université Claude Bernard Lyon I), I have worked for more than ten years as a researcher in cancer epidemiology both in Japan (National Cancer Center, Tokyo) and in France (International Agency for Research on Cancer - WHO, Lyon) taking part in various projects, ranging from the study of cancer risk factors and the development of risk prediction models based on cohort data to descriptive analyses of cancer incidence and survival based on registry data. I currently work as a lecturer in the Falculty of International Liberal Arts and the Graduate School of Medicine at Juntendo University, Tokyo. My main research interest is in the development and use of statistical models for the analysis of time-to-event outcomes, and in computational methods for mixed effect models estimation.
