SESSTIM supports external candidates who wish to join one of the research unit's teams and whose profile and project are in line with its scientific programme.

Competitive recruitment involved
- Inserm competitive recruitment in Specialised Scientific Commissions 6 or 7.
- IRD competitive recruitment in Sectoral Scientific Commissions 2, 4 or 5.
Conditions of eligibility for comptetitive recruitment
Candidates are responsible for ensuring that they meet the eligibility criteria for the competition they are entering. This information can be obtained from the relevant institutions.

- Be eligible for the competitive recruitment in question.
- Have a scientific project that is in line with the scientific programme of the SESSTIM research team that they wish to join.
Details of support provided
Candidates selected by SESSTIM will benefit from personalised support to help them write their scientific project and prepare for the audition, if required.
How to apply for support
All requests for support must include:
- A letter explaining why they are applying to join one of the SESSTIM teams, and how this would align with their profile, project, as well as the competitive recruitment they are aiming for and the grade they are applying for.
- A detailed, up-to-date CV of the candidate, including a list of publications.
- A draft research project with a title and no more than 2 pages.

Deadline of the call for applications
Requests for support to join one of the SESSTIM teams can be made on an ongoing basis, no later than 31st October for the following calendar year's competitive recruitments.
Response to candidates
Each candidate will receive an individual reply within 3 weeks of receipt of their application.
For successful candidates, SESSTIM will appoint a reference member to assist them in their preparation.
