I studied Probability and Statistics at the Strasbourg University. After a master degree in Statistics I worked, between 1984 and 2009, at the Public Health department of the Strasbourg University and at the Bas-Rhin Cancer registry. I got in 2000 a PhD degree in Biostatistics studying properties of the relative survival estimators. In 2010 I have taken the head of the Occupational epidemiology division of the INRS (French occupational safety and health institute). I am co-responsible of the master “Epidemiology, Public health and Environment” common to 5 Universities (Nancy, Strasbourg, Reims, Dijon, Besançon) where I teach advanced methodologies in biostatistics. My current research topic is the adaptation of relative survival methodology to the specificities of occupational epidemiology. Number of publications: 142, h-index: 50.
